Hey guys,

As I mentioned in my previous posts I did a little shopping the past couple of days and found a few stores that I really liked. I found that these stores had really nice things and great prices so I thought I would share them with you!

Papaya:

This store has a huge variety of all different types of clothing and accessories for really great prices! It's a great place to shop for your friends for the holidays.

Nine West:

This is a great shoe store with great sales and prices! They had a whole bunch of really cute flats, sandals, and boots on sale.

Bass:

This store is alright. I'm not a fan of their clothes (you can tell the clothes they carry aren't meant for younger teens), however, they did have some good prices on cute boots!

More Shopping!

Here are a few other things I bought this weekend:

Mickey red and white varsity jacket: Disney World $85.00 (Pricey, I know... but my grandma used her Disney World cast member discount)
Light brown leather jacket: Papaya $30.99
Studded leopard print top: Papaya $12.99
Moccasins: Robert Wayne $39.99

Shopping!

I spent some time shopping while I was in Orlando and went to an outlet mall that I absolutely adore! It is called the "Premium Outlet." Here are a couple of things I picked out in a store we found called "Papaya!" They have really cute stuff that is pretty cheap! I think this store might be one of my new favorites. :)

This last picture is a shirt my sister picked out and bought for herself. I really like it, as well.

Hey guys,

So I just got home from spending the last five days visiting my grandparents in Orlando. They are both Disney World cast members so we spent some time in the parks, as well. Anyways, I did a little shopping while I was visiting so make sure to stay tuned!

Turning T-shirts into Fringe Scarfs!

Hey guys!
I saw a picture of this on Pinterest and really wanted to see if it worked. You can see how the end result looks in one of my last two posts. This is super easy and it can be made with any color shirt!

What you will need:

- Men's large or extra large shirt (I bought a package of 3 for $7 at Walmart)
- Scissors
- Ruler

Step 1: Cut off the top part of the shirt (Under the sleeves)

Step 2: Use your ruler to measure about a 4-inch section in the middle of the shirt

Step 3: Mark the 4-inch middle section so that you can use it as a guideline when cutting your shirt

Step 4: Begin cutting small strips along both edges of the shirt up to your markings in the middle (Make sure the middle section remains un-cut)

Step 5: Even though your pets may be adorable... Remind them that this may be a craft they cannot help out with.

Step 6: Pull the strips on both sides to give them more of a clean and
 "fringe-y" look

Step 7: Remember that 4-inch section you left in the middle? Well stretch that out as far as it can possibly stretch without breaking.

Step 8: Wrap the scarf around your neck twice to make it look fuller

Step 9: Enjoy!

(Check out my previous post to see the final result!)

I made the scarf in this picture from a plain T-shirt. I will be posting a tutorial on how to do this soon so make sure to keep an eye out for it! :)

I honestly do not remember where the ring I am wearing is from. I have had it for a couple years, but I am sure you can find a similar one at any store that sells jewelry.

Go SF Heat!

Here is the outfit I wore to my sister, Leanne's, soccer game. Her team colors are blue and orange so I thought I'd show my support! Her team won their first game 4-0. So proud of her!

Anyways, here are a couple side notes about the outfit:
I'm wearing the only orange bracelet I could find in my closet. It's from a camp called "BigStuf" I went to with my church this past summer. :)

The jeans I am wearing are actually from a goodwill store near my house. You'll find that I absolutely love thrift store shopping. I think It's really important that girls realize that having nice clothes doesn't always mean they have to be expensive. You can find really great things that don't cost you a fortune. From one teenage girl to another: I work for my money now and I can't really afford to spend hundreds of dollars on clothing. Don't ever feel embarrassed about not having "name-brand" clothing or shopping in less expensive stores when you can find things just as nice, if not better! These jeans have lasted me almost a year and were only $6.00!

The silver puzzle-piece necklace I am wearing was given to me by my wonderful boyfriend. Our names are engraved in it, along with our anniversary date.

Royal blue cardigan: Love Culture

Orange bracelet: BigStuf Summer Camp

T-shirts to Tank Tops

Here is another tutorial I found on YouTube. This will teach you how to take any old T-shirts and turn them into tank tops.

What you will need:

- A T-shirt that fits you loosely
- Scissors

Step 1: Find a T-shirt that fits you loosely

Step 2: Cut off both sleeves

Step 3: Cut off the collar of the shirt

Step 4: Pull on the fabric to stretch the straps (The edges will curl. Don't worry, that's supposed to happen.)

Step 5: Cut a long and thin piece of fabric from one of the already cut off sleeves. Make sure that It's long enough to tie around the straps. You can pull the fabric to give it more of a "rope-ish" feel.

Step 6: Tie the straps together in the back with the extra piece of fabric.

The straps should be tied farther towards the back so the shirt looks like this:

And there you have it!
In this case I wore the shirt over my dance uniform, but you can wear it to the beach or just as a casual outfit.

Enjoy!

A Whole New Meaning To "Dress-Shirt"

I saw a video tutorial of this on YouTube and I wanted to try it out. Basically, you take any men's large shirt (one with short sleeves, preferably!) and turn it into a simple yet cute dress! This shirt was not the best example, but you can use any shirt you already have.

Step 1: Find a men's large shirt (I used one of my dad's shirts)

Step 2: Pull the hole where your head goes through down above your chest

Step 3: Take the two sleeves on each side and tie them either in front or in back (It depends on your style and how you like the dress)

Step 4: Tuck any extra pieces of the sleeve that stick out under the folds

That's it! It's super simple. One of the things I love most about this is that there is no cutting involved so you don't ruin the shirt. You can top the dress off with a jean jacket or cardigan.

Enjoy!

Bumming It...

I did not really dress up today.  I took the ACT exam this morning while running on only four hours of sleep. It was pretty chilly outside this morning so I actually wore boots without worrying about getting awkward stares. :)

Sunglasses!

These are my favorite sunglasses right now. I used to always wear aviators but they would always break on me. These have lasted for a while and they are from a store I love called "Cotton on."

My First Post :)

Well here is my first post on my new blog. This is more of a daytime outfit. In the picture I am wearing a navy blue floral top (it actually belongs to my mom), with black jeans, and nude wedges that my aunt gave to me. I don't usually wear heels to casual events but I feel like the jeans tone the outfit down. I topped it all off with some turquoise jewelry that matched some of the flowers within the top. I would recommend a small necklace with this outfit since the ruffles on the shirt would most likely drown out a long one.

:)

Navy Blue Floral Top: Kohl's
Black Jeans: Target
Wedges: I am not sure where my aunt bought these, but I am sure you can find Nude heels at any shoe store.
